Clover is a chain of vegan food trucks and “food labs” in Boston and I finally had the opportunity to visit the restaurant located in Cambridge. While the menu is fairly small and the items can change from day-to-day, it’s a great choice for take-out as it’s easy, filling, and fairly inexpensive. I got the rosemary french fries and the chickpea fritter sandwich (which I only ate half of and saved the rest for later) for around $13 and it was delicious. The bread itself was huge and the sandwich was filled with all kinds of flavors and textures. The simple way to describe it was falafel and coleslaw on a bulky roll, but it was much better than that sounds. It’s also a great option for a quick lunch with friends because they have indoor seating as well as different platters to share. If you can catch any of their many food trucks or brick and mortar spots, do give it a try and if you’re in Cambridge, head next door to FoMu for dessert!
